How to delete a Telegram account?

To delete a Telegram account, you need to follow a few simple steps that are described below. The whole procedure takes no more than 5 minutes and takes place on a special website. You need any Android, iOS, or Windows device with an authorized Telegram account and a browser to delete an account.

Step 1. Go to the website https://my.telegram.org/auth?to=deactivate. In the appeared field enter the phone number linked to the Telegram account.

Step 2. Click on the “Next” button.

Step 3. After that, you will receive a service message in the messenger itself with a confirmation code from Telegram.

Step 4. Copy the received code from the message and paste it into a separate field “Confirmation code” on the site.

Step 5. Click on the “Sign In” button.

Step 6. In the appeared window click on the “Deactivate account” link.

Step 7. Confirm the deletion of your account by clicking on the “Done” button.

Step 8. Next, the system will once again ask you to confirm your intention to delete your account. To confirm click on the “Yes, delete my account” button.

After that, you will receive a message that the account has been deleted.
